Diet number 5 for pancreatitis
It is suitable for patients with chronic pancreatitis. Strict adherence to dietary principles can free them from deterioration. Patients with an acute form of the disease must be careful with their diet and follow the doctor's instructions. Most often, immediately after the attack, the patient is prescribed a fast for several days, after which he can gradually switch to this diet.
The main goal is to minimize inflammation in the pancreas and restore the production of pancreatic juice and essential enzymes, in other words, this can be called the optimal diet to worsen pancreatitis.
It should be eaten in small meals every 2-3 hours. This will allow you to remove the extra load from your body that causes the usual three meals a day. You must also follow a drinking regimen: drink 2-3 liters of water a day, at least 20 minutes before meals and an hour after.
Basic dietary rules

- Reduce your salt and sugar intake.
